Here are some of the most common questions that customers ask about Online Payment service:


§ What is the “Pay Now” service?

Pay Now allows you to make payments online through the Kotak Life Insurance website (www.kotaklifeinsurance.com) instantly through an online banking account. You need to specify your Kotak Life Policy number and pay directly through your online banking account.

You can access this service through www.kotaklifeinsurance.com. Click here to Pay Now!

§ Who is eligible to use this service?

This service is available to any Kotak Life Insurance policy holder for payment of their renewal premium. You will also need to have a valid online banking account to make payment.

§ Can I use this service to make advance payment?

This service is available only for premium payment. You can make online payment only if your renewal is due. i.e. renewal bill has been generated.

§ Can I use this service to make payment to revive my policy?

As of now, this service is available only for inforce policies. You will not be allowed to make payment for your lapsed policy.

§ Which locations is this service available in?

This service is available PAN India to all Kotak Life policy holders with a valid online banking account.

§ How does this service work?

You will need to follow the steps below to make your payment:

1. Provide your policy details

§ Enter the Kotak Life Insurance policy number and any one of the other policy details
§ click on ‘Submit’
§ Confirm the policy details displayed and click on “Pay” to continue.

2. Choose a Payment Option

§ You will be taken to a ‘Payment Options’ page
§ Select your Net Banking Account and click on the ‘Submit’ button to initiate payment

3. Confirm payment

§ You will be directed to your Net Banking site where you have to input you user id/password
§ Your payment will be authenticated over the gateway and your bank account will be instantly debited.
§ You will receive a Transaction Reference Number that is an acknowledgement for your payment request.

Note: Your payment will be credited into your Kotak Life Policy Number within 2 working days.

§ What payment methods can I use for this service?

You can pay through your Net Banking accounts of Kotak Bank, Citibank, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, UTI Bank, IDBI Bank, State Bank of India, Punjab National Bank, Indusind Bank, Union Bank of India and Centurion Bank of Punjab as on date. We will keep adding more and more banks from time to time.

§ Do I have to pay the entire premium amount?

Yes. You will be displayed the premium payable by you for your specified policy number. You will have to make the entire payment. You will not be allowed to choose the amount payable to Kotak Life Insurance.

§ Do I get a confirmation of the payment that I have made?

For each payment you will receive an online Transaction Reference Number that is an acknowledgement for your payment request.

§ How do I get a physical payment receipt?

For each successful payment physical receipts will be generated by Kotak Life and mailed to you within 7 working days.

§ Do I have to pay any service fee?

No. The service is absolutely free for our esteemed Kotak Life Insurance policy holders.
